FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do I need a referral to make an appointment?

No! In the state of South Carolina, you can see a Physical Therapist for 30 days without a referral. If you need care for longer than 30 days, we will be able to request a signed plan of care from one of your providers. A referral is never needed to see us for a wellness or sports performance visit.

What should I expect for my first visit?

Most initial evaluations are performed in a private treatment room. We will have a thorough discussion about what you’ve been dealing with, and then we will perform an examination to help us figure out what is going on and how to best help you.

Wear something comfortable that will allow you to move easily! Shorts are preferred if you are seeing us for a leg issue, and a tank top or short sleeve shirt is best if you are seeing us for a shoulder or arm issue.

How long are the appointments?

Every evaluation and treatment session lasts about 1 hour.

Do you accept my FSA/HSA card?

Yes! If your card is tied to a major credit card company, then we can accept this as payment for your visits.

Do you take my insurance?

We are in-network with Medicare and most BlueCross BlueShield plans! We are not in-network with any other insurance carriers at this time. However, it is possible that you could receive some reimbursement from your insurer if you pay for our visits upfront at our self-pay rate. You would likely need to submit a “superbill” that we can provide for you to your insurance. The amount of reimbursement in these situations depends on your insurance plan.
